Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)

Is an increasingly relevant feature for Emergency and Signal Warning lighting.

As electronic devices become more common, so does the risk of unintended interference that can have adverse effects on other sensitive devices such as radios or communication equipment.

HELLA lighting products are designed and tested to reduce the possible risk of electromagnetic interference, both emissions as well as susceptibility, to limits defined in international standards.

As prescribed by New Zealand legislation, under circumstances, electronic products sold in New Zealand must be labelled with an RCM RCM mark.

HELLA products are designed, tested and labelled to meet the requirements of this legislation.

Lamps marketed as RFCommSafe are designed to go well beyond the requirements of these standards.
